Full Shopping Cart
The system functions like any other shopping cart on the web -- you create your items & prices, the customer visits your site to build a shopping cart, and then they check out right on your website. This is the smooth, visual experience online shoppers have come to expect.
Accept credit cards (or not!)
Make sure your customers pre-pay via credit card. We integrate with Paypal & Authorize.net to accept credit cards. A full discussion of check out methods can be found here. You may decide that paying credit card processing fees is not your cup of tea - in that case use our 'invoice only' checkout option where no money is transacted online and you collect payment from your customer by check or at pick-up.
When you are ready to pick and pack a set of orders, the tools in your control panel will allow you to choose the correct orders and print out a report. The report will include an aggregate total of each item (for picking) and each individual order (for packing).
Automated Inventory Management
Only sell what you have available to sell. Once someone picks up your last watermelon, it is no longer listed on your site. Or, you can show a customized "Sold Out" message to tell folks to check back later.
Create password protected ecommerce pages
For CSA members, wholesale accounts, restaurants, or buying clubs you may have specific criteria for access to a store page. You may choose to password protect a store and then give a login and password to folks that should have access.
Create coupon codes for specials or to give specific types of customers a discount.
Create pickup locations and add this to the checkout process so the customer can tell you where they will be picking up their order.
You may choose to enable FedEx, UPS, or USPS shipping calculators for shipped orders. This function will determine the shipping cost based on the weight of order and the zip code of the customer.
